Lee Polevoi is the author of two novels, The Confessions of Gabriel Ash, and The Moon in Deep Winter. He has received a prestigious Bread Loaf Writers Conference scholarship and a Chesterfield Film Co. screenwriting fellowship, co-sponsored by Amblin Entertainment and Universal Pictures. He went on to adapt Freya of the Seven Isles, a Joseph Conrad tale, for the director Fraser C. Heston.
Lee’s first novel, The Moon in Deep Winter, was made into a short film that screened at Cannes and New York’s Chelsea Film Festival. He is a graduate of Amherst College and the Warren Wilson College MFA Program for Writers.
Lee and his wife, Maxine Fischer, live in San Diego.
